With over a decade of experience leading teams in complex and high-risk environments, Evan has built a reputation as a trusted expert in strategic planning, operational execution, and program oversight across both Naval Special Warfare (NSW) and interagency communities.
Most recently, Evan served as Operations Director for Tactical Communications at Naval Special Warfare, where he led a 125-member team supporting global command, control, communications, and computing capabilities for SEAL teams in contested environments. Previously, Evan served as a SEAL Platoon Commander at SEAL Team Seven, where he trained, mentored, and led a 26-member SEAL platoon on mission-focused initiatives for Northern Command and Indo-Pacific Command operations.
Evan’s extensive regional engagement experience includes leading Middle East operations planning for Naval Special Warfare, fostering critical military cooperation agreements, and supporting counterterrorism efforts in direct alignment with U.S. National Defense Strategy. His expertise in cross-cultural engagement, leadership development, and organizational optimization has driven high-impact collaborations with international partners.
A lifelong learner and strategic thinker, Evan holds a Bachelor of Science in World History from the United States Naval Academy, an MBA from Pennsylvania State University, a Masters in Psychology of Leadership from Pennsylvania State University, and executive training from Columbia Business School in Driving Strategic Impact. He is passionate about leadership development for ambitious professionals and building accountable leadership systems.
Evan’s martial arts journey began in 2017 with Muay Thai during his deployments to Thailand and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) with the 2nd Commandos in Australia. Feeling called to the grappling arts, he continued training upon returning home, spending time learning from Tony Canales in New Orleans, LA, as well as Baret Yoshida and Eduardo Telles out of San Diego, CA. Evan began training under Ricky Lundell’s combatives system in 2023 and earned his Brown Belt in BJJ and Blue Belt in Judo.
As combatives development specialist, Evan applies experience and deep study to team-based training methodologies and dominant control systems, ensuring modern warfighters and tactical professionals develop high-percentage strategies for mission success in the hand to hand fight.
